Dr. Gvozden is a board certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has been in practice for over 30 years. He moved from Brazil in 1978. His Pediatric training occurred at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Sinai Hospital. He has additional expertise in Dermatology and Attention Disorders. Dr.Gvozden is currently a member of the Pediatric Medical Staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He is an associate professor of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland and is on staff at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Cathy has been practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 25 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Masters in Nursing – Pediatric Primary Care from the University of Maryland. Her training was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has extensive experience in Pediatric Intensive Care. Cathy is currently a member of the Pediatric Medical Staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Cathy and Dr. Gvozden live in Millersville and have four children.
Eliza Huebner, M.D.

Dr. Huebner received her Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She attended medical school and received her pediatric training at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She joined Gvozden Pediatrics in 2019 as a general pediatrician with special interests in newborn care & lactation, as well as behavior and development. Dr. Huebner is a board certified pediatrician from the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is currently a member of the Pediatric Medical Staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She grew up in Severna Park and continues to reside here with her husband and 2 children.
Gwyn Reece, CRNP
Gwyn Reece, CRNPPediatric Nurse Practitioner
Gwyn has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Annapolis since 2002 and joined Gvozden Pediatrics in 2018. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from Tulane University in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins University. As a nurse, Gwyn worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the University of Maryland. Gwyn has special interests in pediatric hospice and palliative care. She is currently a member of the Pediatric Medical Staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center. She lives in Crofton with her husband and 2 children.

What is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner?

A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nurse who has completed specialized education and has a Master’s Degree or higher. This specialized training allows for nurse practitioners to give quality care for sick and well infants, children, teens and young adults. A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is board certified in pediatrics in order to provide independent patient care. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners work in collaboration with their physician colleagues to provide exceptional, quality care for infants, children and young adults.
